Important:

Computer-based IELTS is not granted as a type of examination where "the System for Providing the English Language Test Scores of the University Entrance Exam (大学入試英語成績提供システム)" is applied.
Therefore, your result of computer-based IELTS will not be accepted as other tests which exempt the candidate from the Common Test for University Admissions in school year 2019 - 2020.

*****

Computer-delivered IELTS was launched on 27 March 2019.
Test contents, assessment standard and timing are the same as the paper-based IELTS. One of the features of Computer-delivered IELTS is its Test Report Form will be issued faster than the paper-based IELTS.

You will take the Listening, Reading and Writing sections on a computer. The Speaking test will remain face to face with a trained IELTS Examiner.

Before applying for Computer-delivered IELTS, please note:

  • There are two types of IELTS; regular IELTS and UK visa purpose IELTS (General training and Academic). Please make sure to check which test you need with the organisations you are applying to.
