How did the fashion communication has started? How did it develop? What does it mean “heritage” or “brand identity” and what is the difference? How new designers communicate with their customers?
The lecture will start with a brief of History of Fashion about the three major categories (Haute Couture, Ready to Wear and Fast Fashion) focusing on how they started and how they communicate/attract their customers in the beginning and how this system developed till today. The next step will be to define what’s the difference between Heritage and Brand Identity and how they play a major role on Collection Development and Fashion Communication for most of all the major brands. The last topic will be “New designers, New Labels and New Creative Directors” and their strategies between new cultural references, new media and new markets.
