Join us for our Open Day at our Iidabashi English School on Wednesday 23 September.
You will learn more about English teaching at the British Council and take part in a trial lesson suited to your English level and learning goals.
After the lesson, enjoy tea and biscuits while speaking with our staff about our courses.
Whether you want to build a strong foundation in English, use English more confidently at work or in everyday life, or prepare for exams such as IELTS or Cambridge English Qualifications, you are welcome to join us.

Learn more about the British Council, our approach to English teaching and our international cultural relations work.
Our Academic Manager will also talk about the opportunities that learning English with the British Council can open up.
There will also be a quiz with prizes to win.
●14.30–15.20 | Trial lesson
Experience a British Council English lesson in a 50-minute trial session.
Choose the lesson that best matches your English level and learning goals.
Through an interactive lesson led by one of our experienced teachers, discover what it is like to learn English with the British Council.
●15.20–15.50 | Tea time and course consultation
Enjoy tea and biscuits while learning more about our English courses for adults.
You can also speak individually with one of our course consultants about the right course for you, your English level and how to achieve your learning goals.

●General English
Level: A1–B2
Recommended for learners who want to build or refresh their English foundations, or develop practical English skills for everyday life and work.
Through communication-focused lessons, you will develop your vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation while building the confidence to use English in real situations.
●Current Affairs English
Level: B2–C1
Using current news and topical content, you will expand your vocabulary, explore issues shaping the world today and develop your ability to express your ideas clearly and logically in English.
●British Culture
Level: A2–C1
Explore British and other English-speaking cultures while developing your vocabulary, reading skills and ability to communicate your ideas in English.
●IELTS preparation
Level: B1 and above

Experience practical, exam-focused learning from the British Council, one of the organisations behind IELTS.
●Cambridge English exam preparation
Level: B2–C2
Recommended for learners who want to develop all four English skills while working towards an internationally recognised English qualification.
Through practical activities based on the exam format, experience the language skills and techniques required for the exam.
