The main aim of this 15-hour course is to provide students with the academic writing skills they need for university study. It will also focus on useful academic vocabulary and advanced grammar that is transferable to other aspects of daily life, not just academia. Being able to use a wider variety of vocabulary and grammatical structures will help you to express yourself more clearly in business communication at work and understand a wider variety of written material in English.
There will be homework after each session which will consist of writing practice and/or language exercises.
By the end of the course, students will be better able to:
- Write a coherent, well-structured, punctuated, and researched academic essay
