In February 2015, the British Council, together with Osaka City University and art NPO Cocoroom invited Streetwise Opera, a UK charity which helps homeless people through music.
Streetwise Opera delivered a workshop for homeless people in Kamagasaki in collaboration with a composer, Makoto Nomura, and presented the outcomes of the workshop at the “Kamagasaki O!pera“.
They also provided training for orchestra players in collaboration with Japan Century Symphony Orchestra and exchanged ideas with art professionals in Tokyo with an eye to 2020.
