To introduce the latest thinking on social innovation in the UK and share the examples of multi-stakeholder approaches for creating social innovation, we organised a learning journey to London in February 2012 inviting senior business delegates from Japanese corporate sector – across technology, education, media, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
A weeklong immersion into the UK’s social innovation ecosystem including presentation from 17 inspiring UK organisations and exposure to innovative social entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and collaborative projects ranging across sectors introduced exceptional cases of social innovation embedded in UK business strategy and cross-sector ecosystems.
To see the insights and leanings from the journey, please read our report published in June 2012 (download link at the foot of this page).
*The tour was organised by the British Council Japan, Entrepreneurial Training for Innovative Communities (ETIC.) and Volans from 29 January to 4 February 2012.
