Subtlemob ‘As if it were the last time”’ is a project produced by the international artists’ collective, ‘circumstance’. The project celebrates the home, belonging and loss. This piece is a snapshot of the world around you, a chance to savour a moment and make new connections with people and their surroundings. The British Council presented ‘As if it were the last time’ as part of Yokohama Triennale 2011 in partnership with ST Spot and Steep Slope Studio.

‘circumstance’ is an international artists collective. They draw on their backgrounds in contemporary performance, theatre, interactive design, music composition, wearable electronics, locative and pervasive media. They are known for the creation of the ‘subtlemob’ form of performance and mobile electronics in public space. Their projects consistently address the social, political and emotional impacts of the technologies used. ‘circumstance’ is currently Duncan Speakman, Sarah Anderson and Emilie Grenier.
